Siapa Yang Kita Ingin Tipu Sebenarnya?

Disebabkan hari ni kecoh pasal mentor perniagaan tu, Confession ni khas aku tulis pasal academic dishonesty. Mula-mula aku tak la ambik pusing sangat pasal ni sebab benda ni sebenarnya dah lama orang pertikai dan aku pun pernah buat research pasal academic dishonesty kat Malaysia. So aku tak terkejut. Sebab this is not the first case in Malaysia.

Tp apa yang buat aku marah ialah bila mana ada lagi yang masih defend the act of academic dishonesty by saying “alah apa salahnya beli title dr. Dia ada duit”, “benda kecik la, lagipun dia dah tolong ramai orang”, “Rilex la, dia Kaya kot”, “alah, ni kira marketing strategy. So chill”

(aku nak mencarut sebenarnya tp x boleh so) Excuse me! Please la Malaysians, open your mind. Don’t be so fucked with money.

academic dishonesty is not a petty thing. It’s not. It’s serious and dangerous. It is a crime. It doesn’t matter how powerful his talks are or how big his contributions towards others or how rich he is. People need to realize that this is about credibility, trust, honesty, your values as a human being, the value of education itself.

Sebab tu aku pantang bila students just copy and paste everything masa buat assignment. Resources yang available sekarang ni bukan untuk kita copy and paste semata mata untuk siapkan assignment. They are available for us to read, think, evaluate, discuss and reevaluate.

So please, nilai balik knp kita belajar. Adakah hanya kerana sekeping sijil? Atau kerana ilmu itu sendiri. Kalau kita plagiarize sana sini, tipu qualification y kita tak ada, siapa y kita tipu sebenarnya? Orang lain atau diri sendiri?
